Donald W. Fleming, né en 1918, conjoint de Harriet E. Spaulding, fils de William et Hazel, père de Joan E, est décédé à l'âge de 85 ans.
LEOMINSTER -- Donald W. Fleming, 85, formerly of Myrtle Ave. and Chapman Place, a Navy veteran, died Friday, Jan. 16 in River Terrace Healthcare Facility, Lancaster, after a long illness. He was born in Leominster on April 15, 1918, son of William and Hazel (Lewis) Fleming and was a 1936 graduate of Leominster High School. He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran, serving from 1944 to 1946 aboard the USS J. Franklin Bell in the South Pacific, and remained in the National Guard until 1950. Mr. Fleming was employed as a production control analyst for Diadem, Inc. in Leominster until its closure and then in the same capacity for the former Tilton & Cook Co. of Leominster until his retirement. He was a member of the Leominster Rotary Club, the Leominster Lodge of Elks and the Wilder Lodge of Mason in Leominster. He was a member of the Unitarian Universalist Church in Leominster. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Harriet E. (Spaulding) Fleming; his daughter Joan E. Judy and son-in-law Thomas J. Judy of Leominster; three grandchildren, W. Scott Freeman of Newport, N.C., Tracy Gasparoni of Rye, N.H., and Toni Goodwin of Edgerton, Canada. He also leaves four great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. His two brother, Winthrop Fleming and Russell Fleming predeceased him. FLEMING -- On Friday, Donald W. Fleming, 85, formerly of Myrtle Avenue and Chapman Place. After cremation, a private memorial service and burial in the Evergreen Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. The Silas F. Richardson & Son Funeral Home, 106 West St., Leominster, is assisting the family with arrangements.
