Donald Harry Walker, 78, Bradenton, died May 30, 2002. He was born Aug. 15, 1923, in Huron, S.D., and came to Bradenton in 1992 from Stevens Point, Wis. He was president and owner of Great Lakes Water Conditioning Corp. in Stevens Point. He graduated from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Mich. He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II. He was a member of Kiwanis Club, Stevens Point Country Club and Hot Shots Club, all in Stevens Point. He was a member of First Church of Christ Scientist in Stevens Point and Holmes Beach. Survivors include his wife, Jackie; a daughter, Deborah Somers of Stevens Point; a sister, Jean McQueen of Stevens Point; and one grandchild. A memorial service will be later in Stevens Point. National Cremation Society, Sarasota chapter, is in charge. Memorial donations may be made to First Church of Christ Scientist, 6300 Marina Drive, Holmes Beach, FL 34217; or to a favorite charity.
