Donald Simmons Hall - Merritt Island - Donald Simmons Hall passed away peacefully at home on Friday, February 27, 2009. He was born in Bath, ME on May 7, 1918. As a young man he worked at Bath Ironworks. After World War II he worked at Pearl Harbor and with Hughes Industries in California. He retired from IMC in Los Angeles after more than 30 years. He moved to Brevard County, Florida in 1989. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Lillian Hall; his sisters, Edna (Jack) Germaine and Esther (Albert) Bonney; his niece, Germaine Bonney; and his nephew, James Hall Bonney. He is survived by his great niece, Leigh Bonney (Larry) Ritzhaup and his "adopted" family, including Teresa and Andrew Kulas, Harry and Betsy Zmolek, Gloria Whitham, Jasper and Michelle Warren and many friends. Don was known for his compassionate and loving nature towards all people and his pet birds, fish and cats. He was loved by all who knew him. Donations may be made to your favorite charity. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
