FLEMING Donald E., of Park Ridge, formerly of Hackensack and Montclair, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at the age of 85 years. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War era. Prior to retiring, he was a Senior Contracts Administrator with the Curtiss-Wright Corporation for 42 years. He was involved with local politics and civics for over 25 years, including service as Deputy Mayor and Councilman of the City of Hackensack, President of the Hackensack Board of Education, Chairman and Commissioner of the Hackensack Planning Board, Vice-Chairman of the Board of Adjustment, Vice-Chairman of the Housing Authority, and Member of the Youth Guidance Council. He and his family were parishioners of Holy Trinity Church in Hackensack for 54 years. Beloved husband of Concetta "Connie" Fleming (nee Marino) for 63 loving years. Devoted father of Gale Barth and her husband Paul of West Milford; Judy Pecoraro of Paramus; Elaine Tozier and her husband Clifford of Powder Springs, Georgia; Donald C. Fleming and his wife Yousria of Paramus. Cherished grandfather of Julia and John Barth, and John Francis and James Pecoraro. The Funeral on Monday September 8, at 8:45 AM from the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union Street, Hackensack, NJ. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 AM at Holy Trinity R.C. Church, 34 Maple Ave, Hackensack, with interment following at Christ the King Cemetery, 980 Huron Road, Franklin Lakes.
