Donald Edward "Donnie" Jackson, 57, died June 1, 2009, in Fort Pierce. He was born in Miami and moved to Fort Pierce 40 years ago, coming from St. Augustine. He served in the Navy from 1972 to 1976. He worked as a frame attendant for AT&T phone company for many years but recently was a fruit inspector for the U.S.D.A. He was a member and usher of St. Anastasia Catholic Church, coached Little League, Boy Scout troop leader, was president of the P.T.O. at Lakewood Park, member of C.H.R.P., and member of the Telecom Pioneers. Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Sheba L. Jackson of Fort Pierce; son, Jeremy E. Jackson of Fort Pierce; sister, Wanda Williams of Fort Pierce; mother, Carolee Edenfield of Hastings; and step-father, Willie Edenfield Sr. of Hastings. He was preceded in death by his brother, Willie Edenfield Jr. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society, P. O. Box 3661, Fort Pierce, FL 34948. SERVICES: Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. June 5 at Haisley Funeral Home in Fort Pierce. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. June 6 at St. Anastasia Catholic Church.
