HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - Donald Edward St. Germain, 62, died unexpectedly Aug. 24, 2011, at Crestwood Hospital in Huntsville. He was born in Manchester, N.H., and graduated in 1967 from Sacred Heart High School, Laconia, N.H., before enlisting in the U.S. Army. He was a retired chief warrant officer, CW5, and was an active member of the Redstone Arsenal Chapter of the U.S. Army Warrant Officers Association. He contributed his time and talents to many organizations, including volunteering at the local soup kitchen and teaching math to underprivileged children. Family members include his wife, Jackie, daughter Holley, son Christopher, and grandson Ian, all of Huntsville; mother Pauline St. Germain of Merrimack, N.H.; brother Michael of Amherst, N.H.; nephew Donald Lewis III of Manchester, N.H.; and two nieces, Nicole Lewis of Henniker, N.H., and McKenzie St. Germain of Amherst, N.H. He was predeceased by his father, Donald, and a sister, Donna.
