LEOMINSTER -- Donald J. Casey, 71, of 362 Water St., Leominster, died on Saturday, Nov. 10, in the Golden Living Center in Fitchburg. Mr. Casey was born in Gardner on Aug. 24, 1936, son of John Casey and Alma (Arsenault) Casey Allain, and had lived in Leominster for nearly 50 years. He was a member of St. Leo’s Church in Leominster. He had worked at Rand-Whitney Corp. in Leominster for 22 years before his retirement. He had previously worked at the former Independent Lock in Fitchburg for a few years, and then was an assistant manager at Sack Cinemas in Leominster for 10 years. He is survived by three sons, Steven Casey of North Carolina, Kenneth Casey of Fitchburg and Gary Casey of Lunenburg; his sister, Janet Roberts of Fitchburg; his best friend, with whom he lived, Edward Nadeau of Leominster; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. CASEY -- Funeral services will be held on Thursday from the Silas F. Richardson & Son Funeral Home, 106 West St., Leominster, with a Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Leo’s Church, 128 Main St., Leominster. Burial will be in St. Leo’s Cemetery, Leominster. A calling hour will be held on Thursday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
