EWING - Dolores "Dee" Lewis, 74, departed this life on Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2011, at Care One Ewing. Born in Trenton and a lifelong resident of Mercer County, she received her education in the public schools of Trenton. Dolores was employed at The College of New Jersey and retired in the 1997 after many years of service. She was a member of New Salem Baptist Church where she sang with the Gospel Choir and served with the Youth Adult League. She was one the honoraries for 58 years of service at New Salem Baptist Church in 2010. Dolores was predeceased by her husband, Ellis Lewis Jr., two loving daughters, Wanda Robinson and Joann "Sissy" Lewis, parents, Robert and Catherine Wilson, her sister, Catherine "Sue" Harvey, and four brothers. She leaves to cherish her memory, two grandchildren whom she raised, Farrah and Norman Robinson (Ashlee); two great- grandchildren, Samarah McKnight and Zoe Robinson; one brother, Robert "Bye" Wilson (Quessie); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends, including her dear friends, Louis and Francis. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at New Salem Baptist Church, 316 Union St. Pastor Ernest D. Wormley officiating. Calling hours are from 9 a.m. until time of services Saturday at the church. Interment will be at Ewing Cemetery, Ewing Township. Arrangements are by Anderson Funeral Service.
