CARTER, DOLORES, 86, passed away Thursday, April 1, 2010 from the Wesley Manor Retirement Community. She worked as a switchboard operator at the telephone company, then she worked for JCPS in the lunchroom and as a teacher's aide and also rocked babies at the TAPP School. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil F. Carter Sr. She is survived by her two sons, Cecil F. Jr. (Toni) and David L. (Brenda); sister, Loletta Patrick (George); four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. A celebration of Dolores' life will be held Monday at 12:30 p.m. at the Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 3601 Taylor Blvd. Visitation will be Monday from 9 a.m. -12:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Wesley Manor.
