ROBINSON _ Diane M. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Grandma the Great. Diane Mary Robinson, nee Scavington, went to be with the Lord on Friday November 17, 2006 at Vancouver General Hospital, with her family by her side. She was born in Vancouver July 3, 1930. She married Donald Robinson in 1949 and had three sons. She struggled with pain yet her faith in God never faltered. She was a Graduate of Simon Fraser University and taught ESL for several years. An active member in her church, she loved to educate, sharing her knowledge and faith. She enoyed to travel and read. Recently she moved to the Seton Retirement Residence and enjoyed her time there, thank you to all the residents and staff. Grandma was predeceased by her sons Donnie and Bill. She is survived by her brother Fred (Marie) of Vancouver, son Jay (Dawn) of Vancouver, her grandson Shayne (Joanna) of Korea, granddaughters Julee (Don) of Kelowna, Sheri (Russ) of Vancouver, granddaughters Becky and Miranda of Surrey, great-grandchildren Ethan and Liam of Kelowna and Kalina, Dakota, Ariouna, Sway, Damian and Jordon of Surrey, her beloved friend Aunt Natalie and her faithful dog Jonah. The family would like to thank the Emergency Staff of Vancouver General Hospital for their effort and for their excellent care and support of us. Grandma we miss you, we know you are in heaven with all your loved ones and not in any pain. Our family rock has left us and our hearts hurt. The family chain is broken and nothing seems the same but as God calls us one by one the chain will link again. Thank you for all the wonderful memories. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the SPCA. A memorial service will be held Wednesday November 22 at 11:00 am, at the Harvest City Church, 7416 Victoria Drive, Vancouver with reception to follow.
