Born in Clinton, Iowa in 1928, she was the daughter of Gustav and Frances Ladehoff. She moved to Greenville with her late husband, Dean William Jones, in 1963. After her five children were grown, she worked as a preschool teacher at John Knox Presbyterian Church for 30 years. After her retirement, she was active in the community through her church, Aldersgate United Methodist, and POP - The Peace Center Outreach program. An avid reader, she also worked part-time at The Carolina Book Rack.Diane's husband of 51 years preceded her in death in 2001, as did her brother, David Ladehoff; her two sisters, Nancy Ladehoff and Sherriana McKenrick; and her daughter, Vicki Jones. She is survived by her brother, Arthur Ladehoff; two daughters, Sandy Callahan and Lori Ledford; two sons, Ronnie Jones and Danny Jones; 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her beloved dog Clancy.Services will be held at 11:00am on Friday, July 25th at Aldersgate United Methodist Church.
