Mrs. Diane Lynn Carter, age 51, of Florence, passed away Friday, Oct. 24, 2003, after a long, courageous battle with cancer.Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27, at Spry Serenity Chapel, Florence, with a memorial service following in the funeral home chapel at 8 p.m., with Brother David Dowdy officiating.Preceding her in death was her father, Walter Gustav Macziewski, and sister, Penny Macziewski.Survivors include her husband, Bobby G. Carter; mother, Shirley Schroer; son, Rodney Macziewski and wife, Jana; sisters, Linda Kremer and husband, Jerry, Sandra Glenna and husband, Chris, Peggy Oliveria and husband, Dan; brother, Scot Macziewski; grandmother, Helen Russell; grandson, Zane Macziewski.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 100 Chase Park S., Suite 200, Birmingham, AL 35244.Spry Serenity Chapel, Florence, is directing.
