HANSON, Diane GirouxDiane Giroux Hanson, 67, peacefully passed away September 10, 2014, in Safety Harbor, FL. Born in Montreal, Canada, on March 12, 1947. Diane received her doctorate in Nursing from NYU in 1976, teaching nursing in New York and the Virgin Islands. In 1981 she married her beloved husband, Scott, in St. Patricks Cathedral. She joined the staff of the Pritiken Longevity Center, Santa Monica, CA, in 1982 as Program Director. Working with Nathan Pritiken, the founder, she developed the Program Curriculum. Diane and Scott shared their time living between Palm Beach County and Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario. They loved traveling the world and were avid tennis players. Diane was preceded in death by her cherished sister, Pat Thrasher (Tom). Survived by husband, Scott Hanson; nieces Linda Thrasher (Gary), Karen Thrasher(Steve), Susan Thrasher (John), and nephew Paul Thrasher (Ashley). A Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Edward Church in Palm Beach on Thursday October 16 at 4:00PM.
