HARPER Dessie Mae Clark Harper was born on October 9, 1938 and went to be with our precious Lord & Savior Jesus Christ on January 21, 2011.  She was preceded in death by her parents Aubrey and Nellie Gray Clark, son Eddie, daughter Debbie Douglas, brothers Steve, Roy and David, sisters Edna, Lydia and twin sister Essie. Dessie is survived by her husband, Gene of 48 years; sons, Mike (Sarah), Ricky (Julie), Tommy (Lori) and Chris (Saidy); daughters Tammy (Robby) Kemp and Tina (Eddie) Higginbotham, daughter-n-law Debbie; 17 Grandchildren and 21 great Grandchildren; 3 brothers, Troy (Judy), Junior and Karl; 2 sisters, Josephine (Bob) Curran and Martha (Buddy) Little; also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews and many wonderful friends. She loved spending time with her family and was so grateful for her special friend Joyce Warrick. Viewing will be held Sunday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Hardage-Giddens Town and Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 24, 2011 at Old Plank Road Baptist Church, 8964 Old Plank Rd.
