DENNIS DWIGHT SMITH1946-2008Dennis Dwight Smith, age 62, went home to Jesus to brighten our skies, Tuesday, August 12, 2008. Dennis was born on April 9, 1946 and was a resident of Milton for 62 years. He was retired from the City of Milton, and was employed with Santa Rosa County as a building inspector. He was a devoted family man who served the Lord without hesitation and with boldness. Dennis is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Daisy Smith; and a brother, Mitch Smith.Dennis is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Marilyn Smith; his daughter, Kelly (Michael) McGuyre; his son, Todd (Brandy) Smith; five extraordinary grandchildren, Shelby, Kasey, Brandon, Bryce, and Taegan; three brothers, Willard (Connie) Smith, Phillip (Linda) Smith, and Spyder (Bonnie) Smith; his sister, June (Dave) Gunther; sister-in-law, Betty Smith; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be 11:00AM, Friday, August 15, 2008 at Lewis Funeral Home, Milton Chapel with Rev. Donald Leavins officiating. Burial will follow in Hickory Hammock Cemetery with Lewis Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00PM, Thursday, August 14, 2008 at Lewis Funeral Home Milton Chapel.Pallbearers will be Mr. Smith's nephews.
