Chicopee, formerly Ashby and Fitchburg; 58 CHICOPEE Dennis A. Davis, 58, of Chicopee, former long time resident of Ashby and Fitchburg died Nov 18th in University of Mass Memorial Hospital Worcester. Dennis was born May 23, 1951 in Peterborough NH son of Irving and Bette (Ritzy) Davis and was raised in Ashby, where he was a 1969 graduate of Ashby High School.Dennis was a department manager for Wal-Mart in North Hampden for over seven years. Prior to this he worked as a technician for Fresnier Medical Service and had worked as a department manager for Big Y Stores for over nine years.He leaves his wife of 32 years Cheryl (Rocker) Davis, two sons, Justin A. Davis of Holyoke and Jameson A. Davis of Chicopee, five brothers, Glenn I Davis of Ashby, Brian Davis of Fitchburg, Chris Davis in Maine, Michael Sivula in North Carolina and Robert Sivula of Ashby, one sister, Elizabeth Pomerleau of Ashby, on granddaughter, Trinity A. Connor of Agawam, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephew and cousins.DAVIS A funeral service will be held for Dennis on Monday, Nov.23rd at 12 noon in the Aubuchon-Moorcroft Funeral Home, 132 Woodland St. Fitchburg (www.aubuchon-moorcroftfuneralhome.com) Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery Ashby. Calling hours will be held Monday for 10 A.M. until noon in the funeral home.
