STATESBORO, Ga. -- Dea. Silver Lee Johnson, age 61, passed away peacefully Sunday morning, May 20, 2012, at Pleasant View Nursing Home after an extended illness. He was a Bulloch County native. He retired from Brooks Emerson and the City of Portal. He was a member of St. Matthew Missionary Baptist Church, where he served on the Deacons' Board. He was a Vietnam veteran.He is survived by his stepfather, Izill Rock, Statesboro, Ga.; three daughters, April D. Foster (Keric) of El Paso, Texas, Arshe' D. Johnson, Statesboro, Ga., and Cintia S. Johnson, Enterprise, Ala.; four brothers, Sylvester McCormick Jr. Augusta, Ga., Bruce McCormick and Allan McCormick, Miami, Fla., and Lefiest Galimore, Ann Arbor, Mich.; a sister, Claudia Battle, Cocoa, Fla.; one aunt, Clara Mae Frink (Harvey); and two uncles, Larry Johnson (Bethany) Vero Beach, Fla., and Ralph Johnson, Cobbtown, Ga. He leaves five grandchildren, Canaan Johnson, Cari Johnson and Tajh Boyd of Enterprise, Ala., and DeAnthony Foster, Kamryn Foster, El Paso, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by a sister, Stacey McCormick.The funeral service for Dea. Johnson will be held on Saturday, May 26th, at 11 a.m. at St. Matthew Missionary Baptist Church, Metter, Ga., with the pastor, the Rev. Lee Hunter, officiating. Burial will be in Mt.
