David L. Williams 1937-2013 LONDONDERRY, VT David Lester Williams passed away Sunday October 13, 2013 at his lifelong residence in Londonderry VT. David was born in Londonderry, VT on June 8, 1937 the son of Cressy and Jessie Williams. He attended Leland and Gray High School. He was a member of the National Guard. David married Jane Rachel Foster on Nov. 14, 1959 in Weston, Vt. They were married for 54 years. He retired from Stratton Mountain Ski resort as a Lift Mechanic after 42 years of service. He also served as cemetery commissioner at Riverside Cemetery in Londonderry, VT. David is survived by his wife Jane (Foster) Williams, his son Donald Williams and his wife Robin of Cuttingsville, VT, his son Larry Williams and his wife Karen of Wallingford, VT; his daughter Catherine Neronski and her husband Craig of Springfield, VT; Grandchildren, Jason, Lindsey Melissa and Makayla. His siblings include his brother Albert Williams and his wife Mary of Andover, VT; his sister Arlene Shattuck of Hampton, NY; his brother Arnold Williams of Rutland, VT; his sister Marie Hart and her husband Donald Hart of Weston, VT, his sister Elise Harrington and her husband Keith Harrington of Ticonderoga, NY. He was predeceased by his parents Cressy and Jessie Williams, his three brothers, Robert Williams, Charles Williams and Roger Williams. David enjoyed his 1935 Ford, his 1956 Ford, car shows, Bluegrass, NASCAR, snowmobiling and his ATV four wheeler. FUNERAL NOTICE: Calling hours will be held on Friday Oct. 18, 2013 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at the Adams Funeral Home, 35 Depot St. Chester. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday Oct. 19, 2013 at 2:00 PM at the Second Congregational Church Londonderry with the Rev. Laurie Kroos, Pastor officiating. Graveside committal services and burial will follow in the Riverside Cemetery in Londonderry. Memorial contributions in his memory may be made to the Londonderry Volunteer Rescue Squad.
