David Wayne Davis, 28, of Lake City, Florida died Sunday, April 11, 2010 due to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. He had been a resident of Columbia County for the past 20 years having moved here from Georgia. He was a loving, devoted father who attended the Church of God of Prophecy, that enjoyed building race cars, restoring old vehicles, riding his motorcycle and spending time with his two children. He is preceded in death by his father, James H. Davis Sr. Survivors include his mother, Julie A. Davis (Edwin Barber); son, Dylan Davis; daughter, Haley A. Davis; and their mother, Lena Rehberg ,all of Lake City, Florida.; brother, James H. Davis Jr. of Bridgeport, Illinois; & sister, Amanda Street of Live Oak, Florida. Memorial Services for Mr. David Davis will be conducted today, Saturday; April 17, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home. 3596 U.S. Hwy 441 S.
