David W. Bishop died June 30, 2012, at home. He was 75. Visiting will be on Saturday morning from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Armitage and Wiggins Funeral Home, 596 Belgrove Dr., Kearny, N.J. Service is at 11:30 a.m. in the West Hudson Christian Center. Interment is in Arlington Cemetery. David served in The Army from 1959 to 1961, and was a postal worker before retiring. He was a past president, sexton and deacon of Calvary Methodist Church. Husband of the late Johanna (nee Blair), he is survived by his children, David, John, James, Isabella, Joshua, Kathryn, Christine and Daniel Bishop, Carolyn Callaghan and Laura Pavelco. He was the brother of Dorothy Essert and is also survived by 13 grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son, Alexander. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the VNA Hospice of Monroe County, Pa.
