David T. "Tom" Martin PACOLET, SC-- David T. Martin, 73, of Pacolet, died Monday, March 1, 2010, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born January 29, 1937, in Pacolet Mills, SC, he was the son of the late David Holt and Alice Mae Gibson Martin. He was retired from Kohler and was a State Constable. He was a member of Pacolet First Baptist Church, Trough Shoals Masonic Lodge #228, Order of the Eastern Star Glendale Chapter #175, and a U.S. Marine Veteran. Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Lib Martin; five daughters, Donna Kay Martin and Rhonda Roemhild and husband Scott, all of Pacolet, Dawn Bennett and husband Preston of West Springs, Libby Donald and husband Mike of Cowpens, and Karen Rice of Delaware; fifteen grandchildren, Josh, Dustin, and Tyler Harvey, Kelly and Cody Roemhild, Blake and Mindy Woolen, Kellie, Sidney, Hannah, and Josiah Bennett, Kaytie and Kelsey Donald, Scott and Stacey Manis; three great-grandchildren, Emalee, Kellan, and Hayden Harvey; two sisters, Evelyn Seals of Gaffney, and Joyce Shehan of Pacolet; and a brother, James Martin of Pacolet Mills. He was predeceased by four brothers, Billy, Johnny, Lee, and Donald Martin; and three sisters, Mamie Louise Sullivan, Betty Martin, and Lillie Mae Allie. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, March 5, 2010, at Floyd's Pacolet Chapel conducted by the Rev. Randall Lewis. Burial will be in Pacolet Memorial Gardens.
