David R. Sharp, age 90, of Florence, died Monday, Dec. 2, 2002, at Mitchell-Hollingsworth after an extended illness. He was a lifelong resident of Lauderdale County, Ala.Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2002, at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2002, at 11 a.m. at Stoney Point Church of Christ, with burial in the church cemetery. Officiating at the service will be Lawrence Williams, Jimmie Peyton and Derrel Davis. The body will be placed in the church one hour before the service.Mr. Sharp is survived by his wife, Virginia; son, Ronald Sharp; daughter, Angela Peters; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.Pallbearers will be David Key, Steve Kirkland, David Holland, Tim Sharp, Ray McDaniel and Jerome Staggs.Greenview Funeral Home of Florence is directing.
