MIAMI, FL. - David Robert Carter, 55, was released to the angels and the heavenly father on Feb. 20th after losing his battle with recently diagnosed pancreatic cancer in Nov. He was born June 3, 1959, to Donald Carter and Carol Curto (Pratt). David graduated from Rutland HS, in 1978, then enlisted in the Air Force. After the Air Force, he moved around a lot and had many occupations, including working at Killington Ski area, small appliance Repair and an apprentice Electrician. David loved to ski as a youth and loved books, music, animals and stamp collecting. He was predeceased by his grandparents Levi and Elizabeth Pratt, and Roy and Ila Carter; his father, Donald, his mother, Carol, and a sister, Lisa LaVoice. He is survived by 2 sisters Robin Keith of W. Newbury VT, and Cindy Leonard of Largo, FL; nieces Brianne, Mikaela and Elizabeth Keith, Jaimie Webb and Cierra Leonard and a nephew James Leonard. He is also survived by multiple aunts, uncles and cousins, all of whom will miss him. A service of remembrance will be held later, in the spring with family and friends. There will be no calling hours. Cremations America of Coral Gables, FL, was in charge of arrangements.
