David Andrew Owens, 43, of 441 Hall Road, died Tuesday, June 17, 2008. Born in Pickens County, a son of the late Welton Ferdilard and Betty Wimpey Owens, Mr. Owens was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are his wife, Tina Bryant Owens of the home; a son, Joey Owens of the home; two daughters, Rae Nix of Pickens and Ashley Owens of Alabama; two stepsons, Christopher Johnson and Jason Short, both of Easley; a brother, Timothy Owens of Liberty; three sisters, Linda Baylis of Liberty, Karen Graham of Anderson, and Christine Harris of Pickens. In addition to his parents, Mr. Owens was predeceased by a sister, Marie Fields. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road. Burial will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the David Owens Memorial Fund, c/o Robinson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 387, Easley, SC 29641. The family is at the home of Sandra Johnson, 703 West Seventh Avenue, Easley, SC 29640.
