KNAPP, David O. Retired Corrections Officer Was born June 23, 1938 in Elmira, NY, the son of the late Orley and Rhea (Edgecomb) Knapp, passed away very unexpectedly on Sunday, June 3, 2007, at home at the age of 68. Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Ave., Elmira, NY 14904, on Thursday, June 7, 2007, from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. Funeral services celebrating his life will be held there on Friday at 11:00 a.m. The Rev. Dennis Christiansen will officiate. Interment will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery where the Chemung County Veterans Honor Squad will accord Mr. Knapp Military Honors. Memorial donations may be directed to the First Baptist Church, 121 West Church Street, Elmira, NY 14901, in his memory.
