McGILL , David George September 8, 1929 - October 15, 2009 The family of David George McGill is deeply saddened to announce his passing on Thursday, October 15, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. God granted his wish to die peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. David was a wonderful, loving husband, proud father and grandfather and leaves to mourn his wife and eternal companion Joyce, daughter Fiona (Rob), sons Ian (Melissa) and Jamie (Sue), and eight grandchildren; Stephanie, Ryan, Natasha, Ty, Kirra, Ashley, Madelyn, and Emily. A great friend to all who knew him, he was always willing to lend a helping hand. The family wishes to thank all the homecare workers, doctors, and nurses who helped to make his last few weeks more comfortable. Cremation has already taken place. Please join the family for a celebration of his life on Saturday, October 17, at 10:30 a.m. at the Coach Hill Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 996 Strathcona Drive S.W.
