David M. Hood, 74, of North Erie Street in Cohoes died at Albany Medical Center Hospital on Friday, March 21, 2014, after being stricken at his home. Born in Plattsburg and educated in Troy, he was the son of the late Martin and Frances Selover Hood. He was a truck driver for many years. He is survived by his children, Phil Hood, Daniel Hood, Sandra Hood and Martin (Vikki) Hood, and he raised and fathered Donald Cleveland, Rebecca Cleveland, Elizabeth Cleveland, Mark Cleveland, Martha Cleveland and Lori Cleveland. Brother of Judith Quinlivan and the late Patricia Prusik and Sandra Thomas, he is also survived by several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday Dufresne Funeral Home Inc., 216 Columbia St., Cohoes, with the Rev. Nick TeBordo officiating.
