David Lee Waldron -Screven- David Lee Waldron, 75, died Friday, March 9, 2007 at the VA Center in Dublin, GA. He was a native of Colorado and lived in Screven. He was an avid fisherman. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. He served with the Georgia State Patrol for 10 years and retired from the USFederal Marshals office after 17 years of service. Survivors are: two sons, Lee Waldron, Jr. of Norfolk, VA, and Chris Waldron of St. Mary's, GA; one daughter, Elizabeth Wiegers of Norfolk, VA; one step-daughter, Verna Rose Dixon of Blackshear, GA; two sisters, Luanne Lane and Sharon Myers both of Screven; one brother, Donald Waldron of Screven; two grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, two step-great-grandchildren, and two step-great-great-grandchildren. Graveside service will be held Sunday, March 11, 2007 at 2:30 at Screven City Cemetery with Rev. Terry Jones Officiating. Memorial are being requested to The American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers. Carter Funeral Home Gordon-Harrison Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
