Disc Jockey-Radio Personality MARTINEZ, Ga. - Entered into rest Wednesday, July 29, 2009, Mr. David Lee Hensley, 65, husband of Judith Hensley. Mr. Hensley was a native of Wilmington, NC and had resided in the Augusta area since 1971. He was a disc jockey-radio personality (Dave Hensley) for Big Gus, Kicks 99 and WMTZ. He was nominated as a member of the Georgia Radio Hall of Fame and was a songwriter of several albums. Mr. Hensley was a member of Bible Fellowship Church. Family members in addition to his wife include his sons: David Wall of Hephzibah, David Lee Hensley, Jr. of Tampa, FL and grandchildren: Jordan Wall, Jacob Wall, Aaron Hensley and Kyndal Hensley. Funeral services will be held today, Saturday, August 1, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at Bible Fellowship Church with Pastors Randy and Mary Byrd officiating. Pallbearers will be Jim Swearingen, Glenn Beasley, Darin Beasley, Philip Carlew, Steve Ferguson and Mike Lewis. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery.
