DAVID "HIGH POCKET" LEE HAMILTON, 54Carpenter WINTER HAVEN - David "High Pocket" Lee Hamilton, age 54, died of respiratory failure June 22, 2007, at Winter Haven Heath and Rehab Center. He was born in Winter Haven (Florence Villa) on Sept. 4, 1952, and was a self-employed carpenter for over 25 years. Mr. Hamilton was preceded in death by his mother, Lena Mae Hamilton. He is survived by his 1 son, Lamar Bankhead, Atlanta, GA.; 2 daughters, Desira Ruth, Smithfield, N.C., April Barnett, Winter Haven; father, Harry Hamilton, Winter Haven; 7 sisters, Gloria Cuyler, Helen Hamilton, Shirley Brokenburr, Gwen Jacob, all of Winter Haven, Angela Lewis, Syracuse, N.Y., Carletta Ray, Akron, OH., Mary Hamilton, Lake Hamilton; 5 brothers, Harold Hamilton, Sr., Akron, OH., Phillip Hamilton, Manassas, VA., Donnie Hamilton, Sr., Winter Haven, Kenny Hamilton, Ft. Meade, Cortney Hamilton, Atlanta; 4 grandchildren, Shawana, Carissa, Deniah, and Tymya; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Visitation will be on Friday, June 29th, from 1-4p.m. at Hurst Chapel AME Church, Winter Haven.
