JORDAN -David Kim Jordan, of Lloydminster, Alberta passed away suddenly on April 16 2006 in Edmonton, Alberta at the age of 46 years. David is survived by his wife: Rhonda; son: Mitchell; daughter: Kiley; mother: Ruth, of Perdue, SK; brothers: Brian (Cindy) of Saskatoon, SK and Terry (Ila) of Biggar, SK; nieces and nephews: Karen (Curtis), Brad (Chantal), Jolene, Kristen, Tracey, Brittany; great-nieces: Krystal, Brooklyn, Spencer, and Breanna. David was predeceased by his father, Stuart on August 26 2003. Born on July 17 1959 in Biggar, SK, David spent most of his life living and working in Perdue. He graduated from Perdue School in 1977 as Valedictorian of his graduating class, and worked odd jobs until starting at Intercon in Saskatoon in the fall of 1977. David married Rhonda Leanne Flahr on July 18 1981 at the Perdue United Church. After a short time spent living and working in Saskatoon, the two returned to Perdue to raise a family. Their son, Mitchell Stuart, was born January 10 1987, and their daughter, Kiley Anne, was born December 12 1988. In January 1989, David started at Perdue School as Custodian, working there until June 2001. David was very involved in the community: curling club, minor hockey, the Leney Cemetery board and more. He could always be found behind the scenes driving, cheering, tying skates, and building or fixing what ever needed done. During the last five years in Perdue, David worked a second job on the Beckett Farm. To David this was pleasure not work, and he would often talk about what was happening on the farm. In the fall of 2001 David, along with his family, moved to Lloydminster. In January 2002 David started working with Craftex and remained employed with them until his passing in April. Over the years David had a great passion for carpentry, and could often be found in his workshop. All of the beautiful furniture he built will be treasured forever. David also had a love for reading, and camping. He enjoyed going to Little Loon Regional Park, driving the boat, enjoying the water with his family and tinkering around at what ever needed done. He especially enjoyed sitting around the campfire and the quiet of the lake. A graveside funeral service celebrating David's life was held at Leney Cemetery near Perdue on Thursday, April 20 2006 and was followed by an interment. The Jordan family would like to express their thanks to everyone who sent cards, gifts, food trays, and donations in memory of David; thank-you for all the love and support in this time of our loss. Also, a heartfelt thank-you goes out to Grondin Funeral Services in Biggar for the help and support with organizing David's funeral. Memorial Donations Leney Cemetery, Box 188, Perdue, SK, S0K 3C0 or The Heart & Stroke Foundation, 279-3 Ave. N, Saskatoon, SK, S7K 2H8
