David D. HendersonBARRINGTON – David D. Henderson, 48, of Barrington died Wednesday, October 16, 2013. He was born January 21, 1965, in Pekin, Illinois, the son of Randall and Garaldine (Pickett) Henderson and graduated from Pekin Community High School 1983. He was an emergency medical technician-ambulance and volunteer firefighter for the Pekin Illinois Fire Department. He served in the U. S. Air Force four years. David attended Franklin Pierce College graduating Cum Laude Bachelor of Science in 1996 and received his Masters in Business Administration from the University of New Hampshire 2009. David's last place of employment was Labor Ready, where he was the Northeast Regional Vice President. David also started a business to help the unemployed called Jant Service for professional level jobs. He was a substitute teacher at the Barrington Middle School where he truly enjoyed working with the kids and they loved him. David loved cooking and feeding a house full of people with his latest recipes along with the help of his sueChief Laura. David was an avid hunter, fisherman, and loved to be outdoors. Loved camping, ATVing and snowmobiling. David's love of family and friends is what made him happy. Family holiday gatherings, winning at Monopoly and always helping others. Club Dave's was the place to be for fun and sun in the summer season. Camping with his family was also an adventure with family and friends through the years. He always enjoyed being a coach with the kids through the years, from soccer to hockey. David truly loved his family and home life with Matthew, Benjamin and Laura who made his life complete. Members of his family include: his wife, Denise (Light) Henderson of Barrington; three children, Matthew Henderson, Benjamin Henderson and Laura Henderson, all of Barrington; mother, Geraldine (Pickett) Henderson; brother, Rodney D. Henderson and wife Linda; sister, Debe Milburn and husband Bo; father in law, Warren Light; sister in law, Cheryl Evans and husband Bob; nieces and nephews, Kyle, Seth, Cole, Eric, Abby, Adam, Behtany, Alexander, Kaitlynn, Ryan and Haley. Two special people in his life: Debbie and Whit Brown. He was predeceased by his father Randall Henderson, step-dad Bob Huckabee, mother in law Joan Light. Visiting hours will be Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Tasker Funeral Home, 621 Central Ave., Dover. The funeral will be Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
