ObituaryDAVID BOOTH WILLIAMSAsheville, NC - David Booth Williams, 84, of Givens Estates, Asheville, passed away quietly on Saturday, June 24, 2006.Born in Albany, NY and a longtime resident of Ithaca, NY, Mr. Williams had resided in Asheville since 2000.After serving in the Navy in World War II, he worked at Cornell University as Director of the International Student Office for 30 years. Dave was married for 62 years to his lifetime partner, the late Lois H. Williams.He is survived by his two sons, Peter David Williams of Asheville, and Paul Haresign Williams of San Diego, CA; and two grandsons, Daniel Brennan Williams of Durham, NC, and Timothy Haresign Williams of Vail, CO.
