DAVID ALAN ANDERSON OGDEN DUNES, IN David Alan Anderson, age 51, of Ogden Dunes, IN passed away October 20, 2011 at his home. He was born in Cleveland, OH on April 5, 1960 to Donald and Ruth (Michalske) Anderson. On August 29, 1987, David wed Susan Leslie Mercer in Dyer, IN. After completing his under graduate degree at Michigan Tech, he furthered his education with a Master's degree in Engineering from Purdue University. David worked as a Sales Engineer for Rolling Mill Service, raised into the York Rite Brotherhood of Free Masonary, was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church where he served as an Elder and Trustee, and was an active member with Indiana Dunes Great Banquet Community. First and foremost, David was a proud, proud, proud, proud father, loving husband, cherished son and great brother. He enjoyed the beach, traveling, woodworking and golf. David is survived by his wife, Susan; sons: Dean and Eric; mother, Ruth Anderson of Cleveland, OH; sister, Claire (Gary) Merrill of Valparaiso, IN; brother, Kenneth (Felicia) Anderson of Cleveland, OH; nieces, Rachel Mache-Kelley of Chicago, IL and Jocelyn (Scott) Ernsberger of Babb, MT. David was also a great-uncle to Laremy, Abigail, Alaric, Brennus and Reagan Ernsberger. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Arthur Anderson. A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, October 23, 2011 at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 6540 Central Ave., Portage, IN 46368 from 2:00 - 5:00 PM with Masonic Service at 3:00 PM and Memorial Service beginning at 5:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Peter Lutheran Church Building Fund or AseraCare Hospice, 332 W. US Hwy 30, Valparaiso, IN 46385.
