Danny Scott Thompson, 48, Springfield, Mo., died at 8:52 p.m. July 4, 2007, in Citizens Memorial Hospital, following a sudden illness. He was born December 16, 1958, in Alton, Ill. Danny was a 1977 graduated of Willard High School, and worked for Thompson Cabinet Shop, which was his family's business. He loved woodworking, the outdoors, and was an avid waterskiier. Danny was preceded in death by his father, Jesse Thompson, and grandparents. Survivors include his mother, Dora Mae Thompson, of Springfield; children Jessica and husband Steven Aust, of Mount Vernon, Dylon Thompson, of Springfield, and Ethan Thompson, of Springfield; brother Douglas Thompson, of Orlando, Florida; and a host of friends and family. Services are 10 a.m. Monday, July 9, 2007, in Greenlawn Funeral Home North, with burial at 3 p.m.in Chapel Hill Cemetery, Mountain View, Mo. Visitation is 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, July 8, 2007, in the funeral home.
