Danny Carroll Walker, age 55, passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2012, due to injuries resulting from a motorcycle accident. Mr. Walker was a native and lifelong resident of Lafayette County, and was born in Live Oak, Florida, to Windon Walker and the former Betty Newsome. He was a member of the Midway Baptist Church and was past owner of NAPA Auto Parts in Ft. White. He was most recently employed by Dept. of Corrections Mayo Facility as a Corrections officer. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was an avid Gator Fan, and as a young man he enjoyed rodeo, motorcycles and restoring old auto's. He was preceded in death by a brother, Roger ""Dale"" Walker.Survived by his parents, Windon and Betty Walker, of Mayo, FL, a son; Adam Walker and wife Andrea, of Mayo, FL, a daughter; Amy Swann and husband Lance, of Jacksonville, FL, a brother; Darrell Walker and wife Lisa, of Mayo, FL, (4) grandchildren; Emma Swann, Ella Swann, Avery Walker, and Anna Walker, a niece and nephew, host of cousins, and friends.Funeral Services will be held at Midway Baptist Church on Monday, March 12, 2012, at 11:00 A.M. with Bro. Danny Rogers officiating. Interment will follow at Midway Baptist Church Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Sunday evening at Burns Mayo Chapel from 4 pm – 6 pm.
