DANIEL T. KEEFE Daniel Thomas Keefe, 76, of 1589 Sweet Bay Circle, Palm City, FL died peacefully at his home in Connecticut Wednesday, August 16, 2006 with his family by his side. He is survived by his wife Ann Claydon Keefe, four daughters, Kathleen Keefe of New York City, Susan (George) Kelly of Mt. Airy, Maryland, Grace (Charles) Huebscher of Chevy Chase, Maryland, Mary Hatch of North Haven, three sons, Daniel (Zsuzsuanna) Keefe, Jr. of North Haven, John (Heidi) Keefe of Westfield, Massachusetts, Brendan (Tiffany) Keefe of Brooklyn, New York, his brother Thomas Keefe of Wellesley, Massachusetts, two daughtersin-law, Paula Keefe of Cumberland, Rhode Island, and Liz Keefe of Jacksonville, Florida, and 18 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, Thomas Claydon Keefe, and Peter Michael Keefe, three brothers, Francis, Joseph, and Edward, and two sisters, Helen Polio, and Grace Antonelis. Born on Friday the 13th of December 1929 in Auburndale, Massachusetts, he died on the morning of his 58th anniversary as a paper salesman. He worked the balance of his career for Ris Paper House and was the company's vice President of Sales at the time of his death. He served his country with distinction in Germany as a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army 1951 - 1953. An all-star hockey player from Newton High School in Massachusetts, he played as a professional with the Boston Olympics (Bruins farm team), and the New Haven Blades. An accomplished Irish tenor and avid golfer, he was a longtime member of New Haven Country Club, and Harbour Ridge Yacht & Country Club in Palm City, Florida. The celebration of his life will begin with a wake Friday, August 18, 2006 from 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, North Haven, CT. Relatives and friends are invited to go directly to St. Mary's Catholic Church, 5 Hillhouse Avenue, New Haven, CT at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, August 19, 2006 for a Mass of Christian Burial and to attend Committal Services immediately following at All Saints Cemetery, 700 Middletown Avenue, North Haven, CT with full military honors. Should friends desire, memorial contribution may be made to the CT Hospice, Inc., 100 Double Beach Road, Branford, CT 06504. North Haven Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
