SOMERSWORTH — Daniel Kelly, 74, of 108 Tri-City Plaza died Sunday, Feb. 21, 2010, at his home after a long illness.Born Oct. 22, 1935, in Brockton, Mass., he was the son of the late John and Gertrude (Curtin) Kelly.Dan has lived in Somersworth for the last four years after moving from Rochester. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He later became an executive chef and worked for several restaurants, but most recently the Rochester Country Club. He was a past member of the American Legion Post 7 in Rochester and the Victory Club. He enjoyed singing having sung in a barbershop quartet call the Yankee Clipper Chorus and he enjoyed playing golf.Members of his family include his wife of 42 years, Ruth (Mills) Kelly of Somersworth, his sons; Thomas O'Rourke of Lee and Timothy O'Rourke who passed in 2005, his daughter, Debra Bertrand of Rochester, his grandchildren; Jessica Brown of Portsmouth, Pamela Rainey of Epping and Austin O'Rourke of Lee; several brothers and sisters from Brockton, Mass. His mother and father in-law, Richard and Joyce Mills of Portsmouth, N.H. In lieu of flowers donations may be made the Humane Society of one's choice.A memorial service will be held Saturday, Feb. 27, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of the R.M.
