JOHNSON, Dr. Dale Bernard (Phd)Suddenly, at home, on Friday, August 30, 2013 at the age of 71 years. Dale rejoins his beloved wife Janet (née Daly), whom he deeply missed everyday since her death this past June. Loving and devoted father of Kimberly Peterson and Stephanie Rackus (Phil). Cherished and loved Grandpa to Allegra, Justin, Honor, Paige, Oliver and Aiden. He is also survived by his dear sister Barbara Simpson (David). Dale was raised in Rossland, BC and studied at UBC, graduating with a Phd in Metallurgical Engineering. He moved to Montreal in 1969 with his beloved "Janee" and subsequently lived in Atlanta, Vancouver and Ottawa. He (Doc) spent a successful 35 year career as a Research Scientist with Asten Johnson and was instrumental in numerous patents. He also enjoyed golfing, gardening and working with and creating beautiful items from stained glass. The family wish to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dale's loving and supportive neighbours of over 34 years, especially "The Cookie Club Gang". Friends may call at the Westboro Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 403 Richmond Road (at Roosevelt) on Monday, September 2nd, 2013 from 1:00 – 3:00 and 6:00 – 8:00.
