Mrs. Daisy Mills - RINCON- Mrs. Daisy Mills, 96, a retired practical nurse and long-time resident of Rincon, GA died on Sunday July 24, 2011. Mrs. Mills was a member of New Bethel A.M.E. Church in Rincon for over thirty years, and served the church in many capacities, including as president of the Adelaide Giles Missionary Society for over twenty years. Mrs. Mills volunteered for numerous organizations including the United Way, NAACP, RSVP, Food Source, Hospice Savannah, and served on the Coastal Georgia Aging Services Advisory Council. In 2007, she was the first woman marshal for Effingham County's Martin Luther King Day Parade. Mrs. Mills is survived by her daughter Dolores Dees and son-in-law Rev. Lloyd E. Dees; grandchildren Jason Dees and Janet Dees; five sisters, three brothers and a large extended family. Funeral services will be held Saturday July 30, at 11 AM, at New Bethel A.M.E. Church, 130 Giles Avenue, Rincon. A wake will be held at the church Friday from 6:00-7:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, per Mrs. Mills' wishes, please make donations to New Bethel A.M.E. Church, P. O.
