Donald Roy Davis, 61, of Southington died unexpectedly at his home on Nov. 2, 2008. He was the husband of Linda (McLellan) Davis for 37 years. He was born March 1, 1947 in New Britain to the late Ray and Agnes (Wright) Davis. He had been a lifelong Southington resident. He was a 1965 graduate of Southington High School and worked for many years for M&M Construction before retiring from Pratt and Whitney Aircraft after 24 years of service. He loved riding his motorcycle on weekends with his brothers, taking care of his grandson and his furry friends, Buddy and Shadow, and was an avid golfer. In addition to his wife, Linda, he is survived by his daughter, Tamyra Davis; his grandson, Brandon Davis Carney; his two brothers and their wives, Michael and Shirley Davis, of Southington, and James and Maryann Davis, of Plainville; his sister, Lillian Davis Mulvehill and her husband, Timothy, of Watertown; and his sister-in-law, Janice Davis, of Southington; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Raymond Davis. The funeral was held Nov. 5 at the Plantsville Memorial Funeral Home, Plantsville. Burial followed in Oak Hill Cemetery, Southington.
