DONA HALVORSON WALKER - HINESBURG - It is with sadness that we note the death of Dona Halvorson Walker on March 4, 2015. She was born on Jan. 19, 1930, to Lawrence and Beryle (Maulsby) Halvorson in Livingston, Mont. Most of her childhood was lived in central and southern California. She will best be remembered for her charming Antique shop in a little barn connected to her home, and for the creation of the lovely flower gardens that fill the yard. Now they are under the care of her children. Surviving her are her two children, Daphne Walker and David Walker of Hinesburg; three brothers, Larry Halvorson and family of East Charlotte, Gail Halvorson and family of Morro Bay, Calif., and Ronald Halvorson and family of Riverside, Calif.; and the father of her children, Dr. Duane Walker of Carlsbad, Calif. At her request there will be no service, but a celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of the Cremation Society of Chittenden County.
