<!-- FH = ROSS-CLAYTON -->Dianne Peck Peterson was transferred from the church terrestrial to the church celestial to abide in the presence of God on Wednesday, March 21, 2012. She was the daughter of Ms. Rosa Lee Peck. She was the third child of nine children. She confessed Christ at an early age and was a long time member of the Antioch Baptist Church. She later joined Mercy Baptist Church. Dianne had many aspirations which led her to many accomplishments.She graduated from Lee High School by way of Georgia Washington High School. She continued her educational pursuits at Tuskegee Institute, Tuskegee, AL. While there she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. She was also a member of Montgomery-Tuskegee Alumni Club Crimson & Gold. She was initiated into the Montgomery Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.She took great pride in her work as a Registered Nurse (RN); although she had a very rewarding career, she always put her family first. Dianne spent more than thirty years working with the Central Alabama Veterans Healthcare System (VA Hospital).She was married to David Charles Peterson and through this union one child was born. Her home going leaves us in sorrow, but our faith, hope, and trust in God remains steadfast and unshaken.She leaves to cherish many fond memories; a husband, Charles David Peterson; one daughter, Shamarianne Janice Peterson; mother, Rosa Lee Peck; a stepdaughter, Pamela Lewis, Montgomery, AL; siblings, Lester (Verdell) Peck, Montgomery, AL; Andrew Peck, Montgomery, AL; Melvin Peck, Miami, FL; Jessie (Charles) Oliver, Knoxville, TN; Wiley Peck, Montgomery, AL; Gladys Peck, Montgomery, AL; Michael Peck, Oakland, CA; Fred (Lisa) Peck, Stone Mountain, GA; other siblings, Randolph Murray, Auburn Hill, MI; Elizabeth Croskey, Pontiac, MI; Louise Cockham, Mathews, AL; Alpheus (Ruby) Murray, Rev. Willie (Shirley) Murray, all of Montgomery, AL; four grandchildren, Jasmine, Rontez, Quintoria, and Nakoria, sisters-in-law, Ella Louise Williams, Harper Wood, MI; Betty (Lindsey) Hill, Willie Lee Whetstone, Montgomery, AL; Gloria Hardy, Birmingham, AL; Evelyn Hardy, Montgomery, AL; Brother-in-law, Eugene (Maurine) Hardy, Kansas City, MO; A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and co-workers.Funeral Service will be held at Antioch Baptist Church, Mt. Meigs, AL, Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. Richard Griffin, officiating and Interment will be held at Eastwood Memorial Garden. Family hour will be Monday, March 26, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. along with Delta Sigma Theta Sorority performing the Omega, Omega Service at Ross-Clayton Funeral Home. This service will be open to the public.
