HARRIS, DIANE SUSAN - of Athens, Tennessee, passed away on October 20, 2014. She was 61. Mrs. Harris was born on September 28, 1953, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to her parents, Harold Nyle and Mary Lou Robinson. She graduated from Longwood College with a degree in home economics. She married Greg Harris in 1977. She spent several years teaching home economics, preschool, and elementary school. Diane's proudest achievement was raising her five children, and doting on her grandchildren. She spent much of her time crocheting, sewing, and scrapbooking. Mrs. Harris is survived by her husband, Greg Harris of Athens, TN; her son and daughter-in-law, Sean and Cecile Watkins-Harris of Chicago, IL; her son and daughter-in-law, Josh and Amanda Harris of Soddy Daisy, TN; her son, Robert Harris of Chattanooga, TN; her daughter and son-in-law, Rebekah and John Hughes of Watauga, TN; her son, Tucker Harris of Englewood, TN; her brother and sister-in-law, David and Suzanne Robinson of Richmond, VA; and her brother and sister-in-law, Greg and Tina Robinson of Elizabethton, TN. She is also survived by her four grandchildren, Phoenix, Alise, Soleil, and Sullivan. She is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Mary Lou Robinson. Memorial services will be 6:00 p.m., Friday, October 24, 2014, in the chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home.
