Deborah "Debbie" Ann O'Neal Williams of West Haverstraw departed this life in the early morning hours of March 4, 2002. She was 47. Born on October 31, 1954 to Horace and Bessie O'Neal in New York City. Debbie graduated from Lehman College with a Bachelors of Arts degree and went on to receive a Masters degree from Long Island University. For the past 24 years Debbie was employed as an Analyst for the New York State Division of Housing and Community Renewal. She was also an adjunct professor at Rockland Community College for the past 20 years. Debbie was active in the Nyack Youth Branch and the A.C.T.S.O., the Rockland County Alumni Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. Deborah leaves to mourn her passing her husband, Neville Williams of West Haverstraw, her daughter, Malika Williams of Maryland, 2 sisters, Laverne Askins and Tiffany O'Neal of New York City, 1 brother, Andre O'Neal, one niece, Tracey Askins and one great nephew, Eric Alvarez, all of New York City, one grandson, Reginald, who was the joy and light of her life. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2002 at 10:30 am at Calvary Baptist Church, Division St., Haverstraw, NY. The Reverand Edgar Howard will be officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:30 am-10:30 am at the church. Burial to follow in Mt. Repose Cemetery. For Guest Book and directions visit www.legacy.com.
