DAWN W. MILLER ESSEX JUNCTION - Dawn Wiltshire Miller, 56, died suddenly on Saturday, Sept. 18, 2010 in the Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington. She was born in Camden, N.J. on Sept. 1, 1954, the daughter of William H. and May (Cheesman) Wiltshire. Dawn was a graduate of Shawnee High School in 1972 and Westminster College in 1976. She received her master's degree in Special Education from Rhode Island College shortly thereafter. On Aug. 21, 1976, she was married in Medford, N.J. to Peter J. Miller. The loving couple renewed their vows this year on their 34th Anniversary. She was a charter member of the Covenant Community Church in Essex. Her hobbies included being outdoors - skiing, hiking, and biking the White Mountains, kayaking, going to the Cape with Peter, enjoying time with her children, texting to her friends on her Black Berry, and going out to eat - especially Black Friday breakfasts with one of her best friends, Diane. Dawn is survived by the love of her life, her husband, Pete Miller of Essex Jct.; their nine children, Wendy McCanna and husband, Casey, of Summerville, S.C., Krista Sheppard and husband, Rick, of Anchorage, AK, Marta, Zachariah of Burlington, Janel, Rosana, Dante, Sharae and Tiandra Miller all of Essex Jct.; one grandchild, Tori McCanna of Summerville, S.C.; her mother, May Wiltshire Van Fossen of Mt. Laurel, N.J.; three brothers, Bill Wiltshire of Burlington, Alan Wiltshire of Maple Shade, N.J. and Mark Wiltshire of Mt. Laurel, N.J. A celebration of Dawn's life will be held on Saturday morning at 10 a.m. in the Covenant Community Church on Route 15 in Essex. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dawn's memory can be made to the Covenant Community Church c/o Pastor Norland, 1 Whitcomb Meadows Lane, Essex Jct., VT, 05452, which will be used to fund programs and camps that benefit children. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 3 to 5:30 p.m. in the Ready Funeral Home at Mountain View Chapel, 68 Pinecrest Dr., Essex Jct.
