SMITH, DANIEL LEE, 82, Born Dec. 17, 1922 - died Jan. 2, 2005. Funeral was held at Woodlawn Cemetery on Tuesday Jan. 4, 2005. His parents were Jesse B. Smith, an Orlando Police Detective, and Lyla M. Smith. Born and raised in Orlando with two brothers, Barnett Smith and Mac Ardell Smith. Dan served in the Army during WWII as a gunner in Guadalcanal. He didn't talk much about the war like many servicemen of the war. He worked many of his adult years for Armstrong Locksmith on Amelia and the railroad tracks. Dan is survived by his brother, Mac Ardell Smith, nephew, Jesse Smith, niece, Debbie Colelli and families. We miss you Dan!.
