KELLY, DANIEL L., 92Gainesville - Mr. Daniel L. Kelly, 92, resident of Gainesville, Florida, died Tuesday, May 14, 2013 in the Shands Hospital at the University of Florida, following a long illness. Mr. Kelly was born on June 1, 1920 in Orange, New Jersey to the late Daniel L. and Anna Devine Kelly. He spent over 20 years in the U.S. Navy, serving in World War II and Korea in the Medical Service Corps, and retired with the rank of Lt. Cmdr. Mr. Kelly began his career at the University of Florida, and retired as Associate Dean Emeritus of Academic Advisory. Mr. Kelly was a member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, Gainesville. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Grace Kelly. He is survived by two sons, Paul D. Kelly, of Corona, California and Michael L. Kelly, of Gainesville; four grandchildren, Joseph Daniel Kelly, Katrina Elizabeth Kelly, Linda Renee Kelly and Jamie Kelly. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at 1:00 p.m., at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 100 NE First Street with The Rev. Jeremy Hole officiating. Interment will follow in the church gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Gainesville Fisher House Foundation, P.O.
