DAVIS, Cynthia (Cindy) DoddAge 51, passed away at her home on Sunday, September 16, 2012. Born May 7, 1961 in Davidson County, TN to Dottie and Bobby Dodd, Cindy lived most of her life in Waverly, TN, graduating from Waverly Central High School. She attended the Owen School of Management, and the American Institute of Banking. As vice-president and manager, she served several banks in Nashville, Dickson and Waverly, most recently at Regions Bank in Waverly. Cindy was a member of Waverly First United Methodist Church for over 40 years, and also active in various civic groups and charitable organizations. Along with her husband Chuck, Cindy established the Wings of Love Cancer support group in Waverly. She enjoyed decorating, gardening, and spending time with family. Cindy was preceded in death by her grandparents, Elmer and Dorothy O'Guin, and Walter and Bertha McClure. She is survived by her husband, Chuck and daughter Kira; step-daughter, Kelly Kavanaugh (Mike) of Old Hickory, TN; parents, Dottie and Bobby Dodd; sister, Joni Allison (Tom) and brother, Scott Dodd (Dawn) of Waverly; father-in-law, Charles K. Davis, Jr. of Nashville; sister-in-law, Cathy Myers (Jimmy) of Westminster, SC; brother-in-law, Dave Davis of Smithville, TN; nieces and nephews, Laura Short, McKenzie Dodd, Houston Dodd, Matt Nix (Carrie) and Chad Moore (Abby), all of Waverly, Cheryl Betty (Eric) and Melissa Paris (Willie) of Nashville, Andy Myers (Cindy) and Mitch Myers of Westminster, SC, as well as several great-nieces and great-nephews. Forever known for her beautiful smile and generous heart, Cindy will be remembered for her love of, and respect, for people, especially children and the elderly. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 18th, and from 9-10 a.m. on Wednesday, September 19th, at the Humphreys County Funeral Home, with services following at 11 a.m., at the Waverly First United Methodist Church.
