Crystal-Mae Smith, est décédée. Veuillez consulter son avis de décès ici:
It is with loving full hearts that we share the passing of our Mom, Nana, and Great-Grandmother Crystal Mae Smith on December 10th 2013.At a young age she left Blairmore, Alberta and headed west to Vancouver in her personal quest to seek adventure and the sea. There she eventually met and fell in love with her Prince Charming and soul mate David. Their love and devotion for one another never faltered in all their 66 years of marriage. In the late forties she and Dad left Vancouver and moved to Kelsey Bay to build and operate the little store on the rock bluff. Their journey then took them to Nootka Sound where they lived on Saavedra Island for many years working and raising a family, eventually moving to Campbell River. To many she was known as the "hug lady" always greeting with a smile and giving a huge hug to those she had just met or friends she had known for years. Her strong will and determination along with her nothing was impossible attitude kept her believing in the magic of fairies and stardust as well as seeing only the good in others. Her family and friends were her personal treasures and she always had time for a cup of tea and a chat as she shared her stories with her captivated audience. She leaves behind her family, Charlene, Richard (Maggie), Renee (John) six grand children Katrina, Chamela, Trevor (Heather), Chandelle (Adam), Kirsten (Toshi), Taysia (Alex). Five great grand children Jordon, Mason, Quinn, Amia, and Carolyn. Extended family: daughter in-law Pam Smith, Juanita & Roy Dulong, Lorra & Chris Forrester, Mellva and Jim Proudlove and the many that have been lovingly taken into her heart as part of the family.Very special thanks to Dr. Kathleen McFadden who was not only Moms physician, but a wonderful friend who walked by her side every step of the way. Very special Thanks to Niels Christensen, who always made time for Mom and shared the light. We take comfort in knowing that her strength will remain within our hearts, gracing us with her greatest gift of all .....her gift of unconditional love. A Celebration of Life for Mom will be held at a later date.
